You can't appreciate a good story unless you know something about its author. In lieu of a good story, today I'm sharing some "things" about me. Here's the S.O.B. (Stink on Bink):
- I've been married for two years. When asked whether the past two years felt like a honeymoon, my husband responded "Its only been two years?" As crazy as his response sounds, I probably would have given a similar response! We've been together for almost five years, and I swear I've aged 10 years in the process! I'm no marriage expert, but I can say that getting married young has taught me many things! The most important lesson I've learned is to take time for self. As much as I love cuddling with my husband, I just can't fathom being under him every winking second. God willing, I'll be with him for the rest of my life! Even with life being short, that's plenty time!
- I have a beautiful two-year-old daughter. She's a thorough mix between my husband and I. As odd as this may sound, she looks exactly like the little girl in my dreams during my pregnancy! My husband and I have yet to experience the terrible two stage! Maybe she's holding off for puberty! Sometimes when things are too good to be true, they usually are!
- I am one year into a challenging MBA program. I must have been crazy to jump on this roller coaster! Who just decides to go to school for business, with no business experience? Me! I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and strengthening the technical aspects of that spirit will open many doors for me! October 2009-save the date! Might I also add that my husband and I have already attended a meet and greet for PhD programs! "Maybe I'm crazzzzyyy!"
- I work for "the man." He offers stability coupled with a healthy compensation package! For bragging purposes, where should I start? Seriously, I'm very appreciative of this opportunity (especially during our unfortunate economic downturn). This experience is giving me professional development and opportunities beyond belief. Although I'm in a good place right now, I just won't allow "the man" or any other man to tell me how much my time is worth. This way of thinking has motivated me to start my own home based business!
- God First! I'm no Bible totin', holy ghostin', revival boastin', down by the river toastin' Christian. I just believe that my life has purpose when I have something greater to work toward. For self gratification, I need to believe in someone greater than the greatest person imaginable. I go to church irregularly. At times I knowingly make decisions against God's will. However, no one will ever be able to measure my love for God! I see him in many things!
- I practice yoga. When I turned 23, I began practicing regularly (at least 3 times weekly). The style of yoga that I practice is called Baptiste yoga. Baptiste yoga is more of an aerobic style of yoga, intertwined with the traditional poses and meditation of early eastern yoga. I enjoy every moment on my mat! I'm currently on hiatus with my practice, but I intend to get back into a regular routine soon!

I don't know about you, but my daughter is fully immersed in the terrible two stage. Her favorite word is no, and I think she deliberately ignores a lot of my commands.
So for your daughter to be two and not going through the terrible twos.....ur lucky!
Thats an interesting mix you have going on there...
Its good to hear about married couples doing well...that gives me alot of hope. Keep doing that yoga thang!!
